I am one of those girls thats look forward to awards season to check out all of the celebrity designer gowns. The Golden Globes did not disappoint as I found it hard to narrow down my favourite looks…

Claire Danes looked incredible in a J Mendel exposed back dress. The black and white combo along with the high neck and jewel encrusted details made this a favourite. She was a favourite of mine last year too in Calvin Klein, needless to say I love her style.

Kate Beckinsale’s strapless Roberto Cavalli was perfect- from the colour, cut of the neckline and the fitted bodice.

Sofia Vergara was stunning in her dark blue Vera Wang mermaid gown. She defines sexy with her ridiculous curves and this dress showed off all of the good stuff.

There weren’t too many, but here are some of my not so favourite looks…

Lea Michele’s (Glee) Marchesa gown didn’t do it for me. Besides her awkward posing, it was just too much silver and sequins. She has a great body, but not the best way to show it off.

Another miss for a Glee actress, Dianna Agron’s red tiered gown had too much going on. The neck line and bodice were interesting and might have worked with a simpler skirt.

Sarah Michelle Gellar’s Monique Lhuillier gown was a tie dye mess. In addition to the retro print, the overlapping and ruffles just made it more confusing. Apparently she let her two year old daughter pick her dress… hmmm…
